“Due to what I believe to be imbalanced media coverage which focuses inordinately on crime, educational failures and otherwise bleak facets of the City, many people associate Paterson with its negative attributes rather than its overwhelming positive attributes. This skewed perception of Paterson acts as a bulwark to the City's growth on many, many levels.” After being trained as a citizen journalist, Tana began writing articles for the PatersonPress.com, “focusing on the Silk City's vibrant art's community but also handling other stories, because I wanted to bring balance to this imbalanced coverage of the City. I wanted to change people's perspectives and open their minds. I wanted to bring attention to all of the wonderful things that the hard working and compassionate citizens of Paterson are involved in.”
