Setting Trenton's Education Agenda for our Children
The Citizens Campaign is hosting a conference on Saturday, April 26 to engage community leaders and mayoral candidates in a conversation on the issues and solutions that will foster youth leadership and success in the City of Trenton.
Setting Trenton’s Education Agenda’s keynote will be delivered by George Anthony, an international expert on conflict resolution related to bullying in urban areas who will talk about his work to keep kids safe in school. Anthony has been featured on 20/20 and CNN. Attendees will participate in an interactive forum with City mayoral candidates; confirmed participants are Eric Jackson, Jim Golden, Paul Perez, and Councilwoman Kathy McBride.
Afterwards, an expert panel will present best practices for cultivating leadership skills among our youth and effective programs for after school tutoring.
The goal of this event is to bring parents, teachers, community stakeholders, city officials, mayoral candidates, school board members and administrators together to identify workable evidence-based solutions for the City of Trenton.
