The Citizens Campaign kicked off its Impact Perth Amboy initiative Thursday night with more than 50 leaders from across the community. Representatives from non-profit, arts, education, and public safety came together to be a part of this endeavor to cultivate additional leaders to help meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Recognizing that Perth Amboy already has a strong foundation of community leadership, the goal of Impact Perth Amboy is to empower more residents to participate in the community and become problem solvers.

Perth Amboy resident and The Citizens Campaign Chairman Harry Pozycki said, “We need to work together to identify potential leaders who can support existing civic initiatives and who can identify constructive solutions to address our city’s needs.”

Impact Perth Amboy will remain completely non-partisan, and with guiding principles of remaining common purpose, no-blame, and seeking out evidence-based solutions only.

Going forward, the group will be meeting about once a month to begin the conversation to identify pressing issues and develop constructive solutions.
