If you are passionate about limiting the influence of money in politics, then we have an event for you.

This Saturday, September 21 from 10am - 6pm at NJIT (Campus Center, 150 Bleeker Street, Newark, NJ) our friends at the New Jersey News Commons and Sunlight Foundation are hosting a "Law, Money, and Politics in New Jersey" Hack-A-Thon. This day-long event will dive into legislative campaign finance reports to see who is influencing who -- and for what.

For years The Citizens Campaign has been at the forefront of ending the "pay-to-play" trade of campaign dollars for taxpayer-funded contracts.  Our success is due to the hard work of citizens and journalists who continue to keep tabs on who's giving and who's getting. It's important work that builds the foundation for laws that improve government integrity.

Whether you are a coder or concerned citizen there is a place for you to help shine a spotlight on the effects big money has in government and politics.
