key_burlington_matters2.JPGDo you care about what happens in Burlington County? Are you interested in making a difference in your own backyard? Burlington County residents Angeline Dean, Christine Germann, and Linda Murray do, which is why they are hosting a series of meet ups called “Burlington County Matters”. Burlington residents are invited to join Angeline, Christine, Linda and The Citizens Campaign in a discussion about how we can improve our communities – from identifying evidence-based solutions for our towns most pressing needs to empowering citizens to serve on decision making community boards and commissions to other ways folks can give back or get involved. “I know there are people out there like me who are actively involved in the community, yearning to connect with others; this meet up will give us the chance to share ideas and empower one another," said Burlington County chair Angeline Dean.

“Using the tools and resources of The Citizens Campaign I have made an impact in my community as a volunteer on the Planning Board and Human Relations Council," said Willingboro resident Linda Murray. "I hope to ‘pay it forward’ and recruit the next generation of leaders in Burlington."

The Citizens Campaign is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering people to get results on the issues they care about. Day in and day out citizens of New Jersey are making an impact from the city hall to the state house, all it takes is having the knowledge and tools. The Burlington County Matters meet up is an opportunity to learn from and network with other community leaders who want to make an impact in Burlington County.

This event is free and open to the public.
